CENTENNIAL Park was the venue for students from 13 Kalgoorlie- Boulder primary schools to run their inter-school cross-country on Friday last week.

Children from years 4 to 7 participated, competing for the Inter-School Cross-Country Champions 2008 shield.

Each school entered up to three students in each event.

Some runners gave their absolute all, and with nothing left slumped to the ground after crossed the finish line, emulating some of the competitors in the Beijing Olympics

Parents, teachers and students were very proud of each participant on the day.

Individual winners were:

Year 4 girls – Robyn Fairbairn from Baptist College. Year 4 boys - Declin Wellstead of North Kalgoorlie Primary School. Year 5 girls - Mikayla Ifould of North Kalgoorlie Primary School. Year 5 boys – Martin Keiker of Hannans Primary School. Year 6 girls – Samantha Lambourne of Hannans Primary School. Year six boys – Harry Perks of O'Connor Primary School. Year 7 girls – Rhiannon Watson of Hannans Primary School. Year 7 boys – Nicholas Doutch of St Josephs Primary School.
