Bowling ladies are back on the greens

7/08/2008 11:22:00 AM
The ladies' bowling season opened on Tuesday with the keen members of the Railways Ladies Bowling Club on the greens for a social event.

Because the ladies are not keen on the cold mornings at this time of year, they met at the club for late start followed by a lunch.

During the colder months they normally play in the afternoons.

Club member Betty Lamont said it good to see some new members come along for the first day of the new season.

Anyone interested in playing lawn bowls at the Railway club should contact the secretary, Meryl Spence on 9021 3319.
