THE Boulder Bowling Club's Liquor City Bowling Carnival is only just over for another year but some bowlers are already talking about next year's event.
Teams of four travelled from all over Western Australia to compete in the fours competition held throughout last week.
More than $10,000 in prize money was shared amongst the winners with one of Boulder Bowling Club's own teams - the Wiggetty Wiggetty Wacks - winning the Welcome Fours event for the third year running.
The Carnival Four's event was won by Jack Kennedy, Barry Matthews, Rod Allister and Bernie Van Elburg.
Concluding the bowling carnival was the Farewell Four's which was won by Con Funazzi, Denis Treen, Geoff Donnelly and Colin Harman.
All winners were announced at a presentation following the final event with prizes given over a laugh and a few drinks.
Boulder Bowling Club president, Colin Weightman, said: “It has been a great week, the weather has been terrific, the green staff, ladies in the kitchen and all volunteers have helped make everything run smooth and efficiently.
“The bowlers who took the time to travel to our club for the competition have become good mates over the years, and will always be welcome back to the club any time.
“Throughout the week everybody has shown great camaraderie, it's been great having everyone here,” he said.
