AHOY m'hearties, today, Friday, is International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Would-be pirates are encouraged to dress up, say “Arrrrrrrr” a lot, pepper their conversation with nautical terms, sing sea shanties and partake in the odd nip of rum.

Members of the Stage Left Theatre Troupe Goldfields WA were getting in some practice at the Kalgoorlie Cup race meeting last Saturday.
They will also be at a pirate-themed Shenanigans, 7-10pm tonight at the Kalgoorlie Country Club, 110 Egan Street.
Come along dressed as a pirate and prepared to walk the plank for what promises to be a hilarious night of Shenanigans theatrical team games. Cost is $15 to help raise funds for representation at the 2008 Regional Arts Australia Art @ the Heart event.
Stage Left is also rehearsing its final production for the year which will be The Pirates of Penzance performed in a “theatre in the bush” extravaganza at Hampton Hill Station on October 31 and November 1, 7 and 8.
